SEALED PACK EVENT
Turnout was very light for the Sealed Pack portion of this tournament, with only 19 players showing up - our lowest PCQ attendance number to date! Beautiful weather was partly to blame - we were walking outside the store in t-shirts, and it is the middle of October. Players who did attend were a diverse mix of local and New Jersey regulars and travelers from as far as Rhode Island and Connecticut.
This event was particularly interesting because it was our first opportunity to use the 30-minute round system at PCQ level. Player opinions varied, some hating it and some loving the new system. We ran a total of six rounds of swiss, cutting to the top 8. It was unusual seeing players with a 3-3 record make the cut, but it happened. Top 8 was mostly the usual suspects - Rubinfeld, Sadin and Horvath all won PCQs here at Kings Games before and several others previously placed in the top 8.

It was a happy ending for both finalists as Khare earned five points in addition to the six he already had and is now able to attend Pro Circuit: So Cal. Horvath won the last qualifier, so a top 4 finish was not painful to him. Rubinfeld follows a top 8 finish at the last PCQ, now holding a total of 3 points.

CONSTRUCTED EVENT
Our attendance numbers were more reasonable for Constructed, as 38 players showed up. Many came early in the morning but chose to tune their decks, trade and play casual games for a while waiting for the Constructed event which was to begin at 2pm. Tournament started by about 2:30, and players competed in eight rounds of swiss, ending by around 10pm. Top 8 lasted several hours as it was played out in best 2-of-3 format. In the end, it was Kings Games local player Shane Scurry who prevailed over New Jersey's Brian Raiff to win the Pro Circuit invite.
